Roadsides are for the Birds

Work is well underway for our multimedia bird posters. This project will combine some realistic colored pencil birds on a wet-in-wet watercolor background as well as some tissue paper collage for the road and vegetation details. John James Audubon's work was also explored for its' realistic bird qualities.This project fulfills the requirements for the MN department for Natural Resources contest, Roadsides are for the Birds. This contest is for 7th and 8th graders in MN.

    These are so cool. Can I ask how you kept the whites clear? Did you use masking?
