Watercolor Batik Flowers are AMAZING!

Here is the beginning of our process:

  1. I think this will be my favorite art in art class.. Hope i get a good grade :)

  2. So, question. What kind of details do you add with the white crayon? Do you use crayon and glue to give different resist effects?

I would love to do this technique to mimic batik, but I want to be sure I understand it correctly. THANKS!

    1. The students add texture detail with the white crayon. The glue is used to outline major lines but could also be used to create texture inside as well. The glue does tend to run and spread so be sure the caps are not open all the way.
