Picasso pop cans update!
This project was a blast! Not only was crushing the can into a face shape really fun but adding multiple views into one artwork was a new, challenging way of looking at a portrait. Pop cans were glued onto a "wonky" perspective hallway drawing and repeating pattern adorns the walls.

What a great idea! Ties in recycling too--always a bonus when some of the art supplies are free :).

ReplyDeleteYes, it was colored puff paint...just the stuff at Wal-Mart. We used some paint pens as well.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! What grade was this? I was thinking 6th maybe? Did you just use regular elmers to glue the can on or something stronger? Assuming acrylic paint would also work fine.
